Jennifer + CJ…..unplugged

CJ and I celebrated our 3rd anniversary with a nice loooong weekend in a secluded cabin overlooking the Texas hill country. No internet. No phone. No TV.  It. Was. Awesome!!  You can probably tell how excited we were to have a weekend all to ourselves (sans maggie) in the second photo of C.J. We sure love our sweet little daughter, but any parent of a toddler will tell you how important it is to have just a little time to yourself to do absolutely nothing. I guess you could call it “adult time,” but CJ and I tend to act more like kids ourselves.

One of my favorite things about this trip was driving on the desolate, country roads.  The scenery was gorgeous and the roads were almost completely empty.  We cruised through the hills listening to Hank Williams and stopped here and there to snap some pictures.  I couldn’t have been happier. I’m so lucky to spend my days with the love of my life and my best friend.   I love you CJ.

Our 4th attempt with the self-timer.

We had to stop and say “hi” to these adorable donkeys.  (see below:)  jenny-donkeys-blog.jpg

Our little slice of heaven.

Having some fun with long exposures and my new video light.

We felt like kids running around on the empty roads.  So fun!

We stayed in Fredericksburg the last night and there was a VW convention going on.  Aren’t these cool?
