Pedernales River Day

I had the urge to get out of the city last week, so we packed up the fam and headed to the Pedernales River for a little hiking and swimming. We hiked about a mile to an awesome swimming hole that had slippery rocks leading down to the water.  You could actually slide down them into the water like a natural water slide.  So fun!! The water was clear green and nice and cold, so it felt amazing on a hot Texas summer day.

Here’s Arne headed down for some swimming action.

And here’s what we saw on the way home, driving through the hillcountry. Who knew that Dripping Springs, TX had a gorgeous Hindu temple? It looked otherwordly and out of place there in the middle of nowhere. Such a beautiful sight!
